About Evil Iron
Evil Iron Classics is a family-owned custom hot rod and machine shop based in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Founded in 2019 by James SanGrait, the shop is operated by James and his daughter Julia, alongside James' partner Krystine, machinist Matt, and mechanic Ethan. Though we're a small team, we take on ambitious projects with pride.
James has spent his entire life working with his hands, learning the trade in his father's junkyard before building a reputation as one of the local experts for vintage engines and custom fabrication. Julia, who also grew up around the family junkyard, has become increasingly involved in the shop and is dedicated to learning the craft from her father.
